Veracruz Governor Fidel Herrera expresses satisfaction with state's response to Hurricane Lorenzo

After Hurricane Lorenzo tore through several towns along the Veracruz coast, Governor Herrera has decided to lift the code red alert warning. Still largely under water, many of these cities, he believes, were given the best possible treatment by the state government's response efforts. Herrera:

Fortunately, the culture of prevention and prevision has another time given us the needed results.

To support those that have emerged from the storm homeless, he announced yesterday that he will be creating a 'Commission of Integral Reconstruction,' to be headed by ex-director of the Natural Disaster Fund, or Fonden, Carlos Bayo. With many more hurricanes probably on their way, this seems like a smart enough, while also slightly delayed move.
